This is a M-S Cash Drawer branded cash drawer kick cable with part # K-18-STAR-NCMS to connect a M-S drawer to compatible Star receipt printers. Note: M-S has changed the design of the cable. It was previously a round cord with a yellow label marked "K-18-STAR". As of 2022, the cable is now flat and has the "Cash Drawer" marked end. The second photo shows an example of the earlier design. This cable is 6 feet or 72" inches long with 6-pin RJ-12 male connections on both ends. Note: a 6-wire to 6-pin configuration is called 6P6C with a RJ-12 end, but it's commonly referred to by the similar RJ-11 nomenclature. See our other listing if you have a different brand of receipt printer. What Does it Fit? The end marked "Cash Drawer" will connect to M-S brand cash drawers with a 6-Pin RJ12 female connector located on the bottom or rear of the drawer. The end marked "Printer" goes to the printer's DK / drawer kick port. EchoPOS and Revel Systems have a compatible cable part # CC-410-B2-STAR for drawer models in the CC-330-B2, CC-410-B2, CC-460-B3 series. Most compatible Star receipt printers will have a 6-Pin Drawer Kick (DK or CDKO) port RJ12 (see the photos for an example). This port is usually on the rear-bottom of the printer and has 6 pins (not 8, not 4) and looks similar to a telephone cord end.
